Focus Group Members

FREE software for 2 years (from 2026 / 27)

Focus Group members take a more active role by contributing to a quarterly focus group. It’s a great opportunity to give feedback and help shape TaxNav’s features.

Beta Group members will test the software but without the commitment of a focus group participation – ideal if you want to try the product and still benefit from free access.

What you’ll gain from taking part

As a Club111 member, you’ll help us fine-tune TaxNav’s look, feel and functionality. Your feedback will help ensure the software is not only HMRC-compliant, but also genuinely user-friendly for real people.

You’ll be part of a user community, able to:

  • Ask questions and get peer support
  • Help us build a better solution for self-employed individuals and landlords

What TaxNav can do for you

TaxNav is designed specifically for sole traders and property owners, including those with CIS deductions. It offers:

  • Simple recording of income and expenses
  • Excel spreadsheet import (template provided)
  • Quarterly submissions — these figures don’t need to be perfect — adjustments can be made before your final submission.
  • HMRC only requires summarised totals, and so no detailed transactions are sent.
  • A user-friendly dashboard with submission history and estimated tax calculations
  • Year-end completion – where you can make adjustments to your personal income, expenses and losses before completing your year-end return. This replaces the Self Assessment return.
  • You can opt out of the MTD IT program at any time during this tax year and revert back to your current method, without any penalties.

Want to Participate in the  2025 / 26 Pilot?

Here’s what you need to know

To join the pilot (and remember places are limited):

  • You’ll need to opt into MTD for Income Tax using your Government Gateway login
  • You can leave at any time, with no penalties
  • You can complete your year-end return in TaxNav, or stick with your current method
  • If you have an accountant, you can still share your data with them

Also, rest assured:

  • No late or inaccurate submission penalties apply during the pilot
  • A dedicated HMRC MTD IT helpline will be available for support
  • HMRC will only use your data for system testing – no analysis or profiling
